Precision Swiss Turning

Kent Machine offers medium to high volume production Swiss turning. We can machine components as large as 32mm diameter up to 310mm long. Many components can be machined complete without secondary operations, which reduces cost and improves quality. With 7 axis motion and live tooling, features such as slots, cams and cross holes can be machined during the main spindle turning operation, and simultaneously in the sub spindle, the other end of the part can be turned, milled and drilled. Swiss turning reduces deflection and gives us the capability to machine OD tolerances as close as ±.004mm in materials as hard as 48Rc.
